Pachamama refers to mother earth or the Incan mythological goddess of fertile harvesting. This is also the name of the bus company that provides tours of northern and southern Chile.

Viña del Mar or vineyard of the sea, is the fourth largest city in Chile (about 350,000 people). It is a beach resort community about a 15 minute train ride from Valparaiso. You can see it along the coastline from Valparaiso and locals take this train regularly commuting.
