We decided to hop off the tour bus in Pucón and stay another week. We found another hostel (couldn't get out of this one fast enough). It was called Ecóle. Not only was it a great hostel, it had a vegetarian restaurant inside! We were about to get spoiled!

Villarica Volcano

I toyed with idea of writing one sentence for this blog entry. It was, "Today we climbed a volcano." Enough said. But my job (as I see it) is to document our travel adventures with more than just pictures. I'm not much of a writer (insert gasp here) and I leave the creative writing to the boys in the family. I just try my best to create a record of our experiences and let our followers know where we've been even if it means subjecting you all to my overuse of commas, (and parenthesis) and the word 'amazing'.

Traveling to Pucón

Our second day on the Pachamama bus was our longest travel day for this tour. We were covering over 700 kilometers and the kids were not happy. Our first rest break was in a town called Santa Cruz. We visited the Museo de Colchagua. This is Chile's largest private museum and was built by Carlos Cardoen, who made his money dealing weapons. He was once on the top ten most wanted list in the US, but we were told he had negotiated an amnesty.
